Credit Union – Junior Savers Club
Junior Savers in school Friday mornings from 8.30am
CNEDCU currently have a growing number of junior members, (called junior savers – no membership fee is required). Junior savers can be any age from birth to 16 years, only pupils attending Hady Primary School can pay in on Friday mornings in school.
The focus of the credit union’s training of school staff and children has been on the educational value of the junior savers scheme. Children have been led in discussions around banks and savings and asked to suggest ways to ensure that they are able to afford the things that are important to them now or that will be in the future.
Why not help us by letting your childs school know about the Junior Savers scheme?
Junior Savers Scheme in Schools
The Chesterfield and North East Derbyshire Credit Union runs savings schemes for children and young people in schools across the area. Children get their own passbook and can save regularly in a more convenient and familiar setting.
This is a great opportunity for schools to have a positive impact, not only on creating a good financial ethos for future generations of the community, but the scheme can also be used to aid the teaching of financial capability to students. It is also viewed well by Ofsted inspectors.
We are already up and running in more than a dozen schools and we cover all types of school, infant, junior, primary and secondary.
Announcements

ATTENTION PROSPECTIVE PARENTS FOR RECEPTION SEPTEMBER 2021
Due to the restrictions caused by the coronavirus pandemic, we are not able to offer our traditional open morning for prospective parents and pupils of our Reception class for September 2021. Instead, we have put together a virtual tour and introduction to our school and our Early Years Foundation Stage Unit. It is posted under our Early Years Foundation Stage page on the website, which can be found under the 'Our School' tab.
We are also hosting a virtual Question and Answer session for prospective parents via Google Meet. The meeting will be held at 2:30pm on Thursday, 12th November and can be accessed via this link: meet.google.com/abi-hiqp-vfp
