Medicine/Inhaler Consent

The Health and Safety (First Aid) Regulations 1991 state that tablets and/or medicines should not be kept in school or administered by any member of staff.  If this is unavoidable i.e. the doctor has prescribed the medicine to be taken four times a day or more, then parents should fill in a medicine form – obtainable from the school office.  Any medicines should be in their original packaging and should show the pharmacy information label.   A responsible adult will supervise your child taking his or her own medicine. The administration of the medicine will be recorded on a form provided for this purpose.

Children should not bring any medicine into school and store it in their bag or class tray if your child has asthma please complete the inhaler form so we know when your child requires an inhaler and we can monitor symptoms.
